Mac Pro or Imac and macbook?

So ive reached the point where my faithful macbook just isnt cutting it anymore. HD kills it. So im in the market for a new computer. My question is, can i get away with an imac, and use the macbook via networking to render? would this make my editing consideribly faster? or would it be better just to go all out and get the macpro?

Go all out and get the MacPro. Internal RAID... Faster bus speed... options for best graphics cards... expandable...

Can't go wrong.

Imac not expandable...Bad investment. MacbookPro portable, but slow for big projects.

If it makes financial sense, the MacPro is the best option for commercial editing with FCP.
