Mac Pro / Matrox MXO Issues

Guys,

I posted this to the Matrox Users Forum also, but wasn't sure how much traffic they get over there. So…

Just got my MXO out of the box, hooked up, software installed and ran through the setup menus. But I'm getting a strange problem.

When I start up, I can see the grey screen and Apple logo on my ext. monitor, and the desktop background appears and flickers off and on. Then it switches to my main monitor and I get "no signal" on my external monitor. I've played around with the settings in the MXO Control Panel, but can't get anything to show on the external.

When I was installing the MXO software, and even during the restart, I could see the desktop of my external monitor and could even mouse over to it like a normal second screen. But again, now I get "no signal."

Also, when in FCP6, when I set my external video to "All Frames" it detects the second monitor, and will even play video to it (I can't see it, but I know it's playing because the playhead is moving). But again, I get "no signal" as it plays.

Hardware is…
Mac Pro 2x3Ghz Dual Core
6GB RAM
ATI X1900 Graphics Card
23" Apple Cinema HD as main monitor
32" Vizio LCD HDTV as external monitor, connected via DVI to HDMI cable

Both the Cinema Display and the Matrox MXO show up in System Profiler, so it seems to see the box and monitor.

And mirroring is set to "off."

Any ideas?

GAH! I am in D.C on vacation and I don't have my MXO with me to look at all the steps. Nor do I have my laptop...posting this on my iPhone. Sorry...can't help until after the new year.

Okay, so I've downloaded the latest drivers and installed them. I've made sure that mirroring is off and that my Matrox MXO prefs match my monitor resolution (1280x720). In FCP I've selected the MXO DVCPROHD 720p/23.98 setting to match my footage.

Still getting nothing other than a flash of the blue desktop pattern at restart.

Any ideas?

I've posted to their support forums, and gotten no response. (That seems to be their preferred method of customer support.)

What graphics card do you have? Are you trying to get this onto the VIZIO? 1280x720? Is that the max resolution of that monitor? And DVCPRO HD...that is the footage you are working with? Don't use the 23.98 setting, use the 59.94 8 bit setting. Why? Because the DVCPRO HD compressor is 59.94. Don't monitor at 23.98...flickery, if it works at all.

I've got the ATI Radeon 1900 gfx card, and am trying to get it onto the Vizio. It's a 720p LCD TV (max. res is actually 1366x768). All footage is DVCPROHD 720p/23.98. I'll switch a few of the settings around and see if that helps.

In the Presentation tab of the System Pref. I've got it set to 720p - 59.94 fps and still nothing.
