well I'm not super good with computres but let me tell you from my experience.
I use the dual core 2.66 mac pro g5 w/ 3gb ram and I can edite HD footage pretty good. (HVX P2 footage)
that means if you are just editing basic stuff it's good.
but when you add filters on top of the footage it starts to take time to render.
also exporting video will take some time. (which is fine if you are a guy who can just leave the desk and do something else)
