I've been on the slow side of upgrading my Mac Pro 2x3GHZ quad with 8GB RAM in terms of the OS and FCP. Currently on Tiger 10.4.11 and FCP 5.1.4 within Final Cut Studio version 1. I have the HVX200p, with the 32GB E Series P2 card.
I actually purchased FCS 2 several months ago but haven't done the install, more out of laziness than anything else.
Now, Snow Leopard and FCS3 are out and the feature we all have been waiting for continues to be excluded; namely native blu-ray authoring and burning within DVD Studio Pro.
Aside from that, are there features in Snow Leopard and FCS3 that improve upon the P2 workflow? I just watched Call Box Live's P2 FCP DVD and the upgrade to FCS2 is a no brainer. Perhaps an OS upgrade from Tiger to Leopard, not Snow Leopard, is enough.
Appreciate any input and feedback.
