i dont think its going to work with verizon.

looks like im going to have to change service...

Sweet. Cingular is the partner. And I have cingular. Time to get away from Verizon, mister.

Hope there's some kinda update/upgrade deal through Cingular for long-standing customers.

Looks like there pretty strong with there partners. Might be a year or two till its avaliable across multiple service providers. So the choice, Cancel service, blow the bank on the phone right away

or

wait till my plan runs up, and by than the phone will be tricked out superior (in say a year)

ahh apple, how i love you. this phone looks amazing

Too bad they went with sucky Cingular service.

Let me know when they go to a REAL carrier like Verizon.

Definitely. By the time they do, maybe there'll be three more revisions of it. Early adoption of some "neat" toy sucks, anyway.

Think about the blackberry, why did people ever think that thing was good? the treo? all a joke and the reason i waited was those never impressed. this is a life changing device, so built for the way my digital life is setup. think about what that damn thing does!

My brother is already ready to cancel his sprint treo as well. being able to connect wifi means he doesnt have to call me anymore to make his bodog bets. just do it on the fly. and when the Slingbox releases for the iPhone, OMG>

I hate my Cingular 8125, the new Blackberry was the closest thing to anything decent. I'll actually use the service I pay for with the iPhone.

I'm about to get on the phone to hack my service plan down to bare minimum to save some more cash for it. Six months of saving 60+ on my phone bill will pay for half of it.

In a few ways im happy its slightly delayed. Ive got the money for it asap, and if it was out id sign up immediatly, but i just bought a new 1080p HD-ILA set and will be feeling that hit to the bank account for a month or 2. So the 4 month break from spending will do me good and then 600 will be a drop in the bucket.

lol. i dont think theres a "one more thing" this time. Mayer is it.

Now back to important stuff

WHERE THE **** IS MY HD-DVD/BLU-RAY SUPPORT FOR DVDSP?!?!?!?!?!

OHHH on a re-read of the info--

The iPhone IS the widescreen iPod. Haha. I win. Going over each minute once more.

ahhh. wierd decision, but the right one.

So only 2 devices, thats not much, but the most important being the phone. the whole thing was the phone. Apple TV was old news anyways, nice that it does HD though.

THAT was the news on Apple TV/iTV whatever the hell it is. 720p HD and the HDMI connections pretty much sold it. Who REALLY needs 1080p anyway? Don't answer that.

iPhone is pretty hot. I think the only drawback is the internal storage size. I think they could've at least made it 20gb or something. Either way, I'm in.

Just messin'. I'd started looking into a 40" Samsung 1080p LCD for my room... then decided I could get a 720p 40" for Less than 1k and still have an awesome picture; so I'll do that next month instead. But everyone's got their tastes, and none are incorrect.

480i is just wrong

Hehehehehahahaha. Dude. 480i is a life-saver... when you don't have a 720p monitor to view your HVX footage on.

I had to do that in Georgia, so that I could show people some footage. Even though it wasn't in HD glory.

:) i know. i cant remember last time ive watched anything on a fishbowl CRT though. Maybe at my dads i guess, but even he has an LCD in his room now. As well as like 4 iPods. lol.

I am geeking out big time. There's a lot of potential for this device.

Lots and lots. As stated, my drawback is the 8gb drive size. Could've been something great with a larger capacity. But, I'm to assume it's going to follow the iPod trend, where those who adopted earlier get shafted half a year later when a larger capacity gets spit out by the Apple Machine.
