mac book pro for direct capture

Do you think the new macbook pro qualifies for direct capture?
I heard different things regarding the firewire issue. The mac book pro is FW400 only. What is the firewire speed of the DVX100 itself? That is if the camera allows only 400mbits transfer 800mbits port wherever it is (macbook pro or g4) will be redundant for capture. Will i be risking dropped frames (or anything else for that matter) with the FW400 on the macbook pro?
I am confidently going with mac book pro over the g4 powerbook right now. The benchmarks are outstanding in my opinion.

The DVX uses FW400 and it handles capture just fine. You might want to wait until NAB to see if Apple releases a new line of MacBooks, which is the current rumor.
