Mac Book Pro 2012 15" Retina dispay... Calibration???

I just got my new Mac Book Pro 15" with the Retina display...

I have only had limited opportunity to test things out, and was not home, to use my Spyder... and I don't know if my Spyder + driver/software even works on this machine... Some of my 'old' software was listed as 'incompatible' with Lion, due no doubt to being a PPC app... that old...

Anyway... I looked at the 'Display' System Preferences widget... and it seems the only thing available on the calibration widget is setting the color temperature... no fiddling with color patches, etc...

So, my question is... what is 1) the correct color temp to set... 2) what is the current recommended calibration hardware+software. 3) is it so 'wonderful' that such worries are a thing of the past...
