Mac book and AE

How would a 2.4ghz Mac book with 4gb of ram run Adobe CS3?

I'm in the military and going to Korea for a year. I want to get away the PC and go Mac.

I know the mac book pro would be better for CS3. I was just wondering if anybody had some real world experience the Mac book with 4gb of memory.

I will be taking my HV30 to shoot with.

Memory is not your problem, the integrated graphics of the macbook will be the biggest thing hampering you. Display and OpenGL performance will be limited when working in the comp window.

I'd pony up for the MacBook Pro. I work on one and I find myself wanting a tower so I can get a better graphics cards, I couldn't imagine it on a MacBook.

i run AE cs3 on my macbook
i personally have not encountered any hitches or problems with it
but i barely use the program and it is definatly not very intense work with it
but none the less it has worked for what i need it to

hope this helps
mines only the 2.16ghz but i have 2 gigs of ram too

I've done quite a bit of AE v7, Final Cut Express, with my iBook. I don't do really fancy, or even mildly fancy stuff with AE while using the iBook. It's just there in case... and I allow for a long time to render things out....

I've just installed AE CS3 on my Mac Book Pro, which for the brief tests I did, seemed ok...

i run a mac book 2.33 with 4gb ram .full final cut pro working on hd footage . once you go mac you will never go back!
