I'll have earned enough credits for a masters degree by the end of summer. The university will offer a MFA program beginning next year. Admission is limited to 24 students so there is no guarentee that I'll be admitted.
Another catch-22 is that once I'll have earned my masters then I'll have to spend close to another 2yrs to earn my MFA.
I guess I'm asking is it worth me to wait and hold off on my MA to try and be admitted to the program so my credits will transfer or earn the MA now then enter the MFA program which will take up to 2yrs to complete.
Also, I have no interest in teaching so should I just disregard the MFA altogether?
