M2 with canon eos lenses

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience using Canon 35mm still camera lenses with the Red Rock M2 adapter on the HVX200 ?

As the iris control is electronic I understand you have to work full open all the time - has this worked out okay for anyone ?

Is there anyone making a unit to go around lenses like these to enable establishment of hard focus stops at predetermined positions to enable accurate focus pulling ?

Thanks for any advice.

Geoff

I thought about that too since I am from a still photography background and have a nice collection of EOS glass, but the fact that you'd be forced to shoot full open the entire time was a huge turn-off for me.

I bought my M2 with both the Canon and Nikon mounts (as I have some nice Canon glass too), but I never use the Canon mount. It's just too much of a pain --- very limiting. The third or fourth time you take that lens off the M2 and throw it on your 20D to adjust the iris, you'll hate yourself. Go with the Nikons.
P.S.: Anyone want a Canon mount for an M2? PM me.
