M2 vs. Brevis35

There's an online catalogue at the site (pricing info), a forum (with posted clips), and pleny of info there. Also, if you search "Brevis" here you'll find a lot. We're in full production with delivery times from 1 to 4 weeks depending on where in a production cycle you order.

The unit is definitely out of beta, although small improvements are constantly being made. We've just added a second diffuser option (with more coming) so users can now get a very good film match, sharp footage and usable aperture, from f1 to f16. The PL mount will be done in a few weeks too.

The unit is designed for a one time setup of approx 20 minutes. Following that, you should be able to attach it to your camera and be shooting in the time it takes to set back focus on your camera (ie. 1 to 3 minutes).

Well I have seen some nice footage from the Brevis, but the M2 still looks sharper to me. About the latitude, the M2 seems nice, but I haven't seen enough of the Brevis to judge it.
It would be nice to see some external night shots to see how it handles city lights and how it reproduces blacks etc, in and out of focus. Any links?

You can check this one out. The last few frames are at night with some point source lights and candles...both in/out of focus. This was some quick footy taken with the optional GG.

Can you screw a Brevis onto a Redrock achromat? and vice versa can you use a Brevis achromat with the Redrock?
Sounds like they are doing the same thing.

Yes, the Redrock achromat will work with the Brevis unit. It is not the precise same spec as the original Cinevate 72mm prototype...but it will work for most cams. More on that later :-)

The best would be if those adapters would find a way to ditch the need of an achromat all together, the way P+S did. The less glass on the way the better really.

i´m willing to buy one of these too - what has happened to the big competition announced last month?

like i sayed at cinevate - i´m in a buying mood at the moment!
