M2 and matteboxes

hey guys, im planing on getting an m2 with nikons 55mm, 35mm, 105mm ect. what is a great matte box which can fit my lenses and has flags that can be adjusted? i only need one filter slot and i dont need the plates or rods...
under $1,000 prefered, but what is under $1000 these days? lol
 
Under $1k thats GREAT? Hmm nothing comes to mind. But there are a lot of good options under $1k... take a look at the options, usually they have some drawback somewhere, but you have to decide is which one you can live with.
 
yeah.. i wonder what happened to em.. i'm desperate for a cheap follow focus for my sgpro. and hyson's got the best looking thing out there.. but they sure are taking forever to get in the new stuff. they promised mid november.. its december now. lol. you can never ever expect things done on time around here.

as for the follow focus by the redrock guys.. it's expensive and i heard that it aint that good either. lotsa guys sold their redrock ff.
 
I just got a Petroff mattebox, and I love it! Totally modular, so you can build it up with more stages and flags as you go. This way it keeps the price down. Excellent construction, and looks sexy.

I just met Brian from RedRockMicro this past saturday and he says he is making his own Matte Box. It should be a Hinged matte box with the ability to add stages to it as you please. If I remember correctly he said it would be out around feb. Also check out the M2 christmas package. If I would have waited I could have gotten the whole thing for 2k. now I'll end up spending more. :(
 
That M2 mattebox has been talked about since summer. I am getting frustrated with the delays in the cineporter, redrock mattebox, hyson films mattebox, and the g-damn 16gig p2 cards..... All of these with perhaps the exception of the hyson mattebox were hyped this summer...... still waiting.
 
We ordered the Xmas bungle about a week ago and I read the follow focus was updated and is now working like a charm!:thumbsup:
 
I believe the follow focus had some play in it. They have fixed that now as per Brian V. or RedRockMicro
 
All of the Redrock Follow Focuses that had the play problem can be easily upgraded. Not a free upgrade mind you. Also, the upgrade is not yet available. I heard around January 15th it will be available.
