M BOX cheap

Friend of mine wants to sell cheap M BOX.

What is this? Pro Tools? I am asking cos I am doing my audio on Vegas but soon will have midi keyboard and maybe this M Box is more advanced than Audio tools in Vegas...

This M BOx comes with a software ....

Can anybody thell me if it is worth buying it if I want to make my own soundtack for my features? And if it gives me more than Vegas?

If you want to compose your own soundtracks with midi, then you are going to need a decent sequencer, which protools is not. I'm not a fan of the M-Box, but maybe others are. For sequencers on Mac you should look at Logic, Digital Performer, or Cubase SX (or SL, a less expensive version). On PC you can look at Cubase SX, or Sonar. My favorite for scoring to picture and mixing in a project/home studio, is Nuendo (cross platform). I also like using Logic as a sequencer/front end for Protools.

I read your other post about getting a cheap midi keyboard so you can start composing and purposely avoided the thread, but here it is again. I would strongly suggest you do a very large amount of research on the net regarding tools and what you hope to accomplish. Others have recommended some loop based sequencers such as FL Studio and that might be the way for you to go right now.
