Originally this project started out just as a personal test so I could determine what was the best encoder and render settings to use. So I created a test video that would hopefully be very challenging for the encoders. Eventually I decided to put all my results into a video so others can learn from my test.
If any codec experts watch and notice something incorrect let me know and I can add a note to the video. I want this to be as accurate and helpful as possible.
I also show how render directly to the VP8 codec with MP3 for the audio, for those who don't want to use the patent encumbered H.264.
