Lowest profile quick release?

Hi there,
I'm using a 5d mk III in a cage with external battery and monitor etc attached. When I'm setting up slider shots I'd like to be able to I clip the camera and shoot a lot lighter (to restrict slider bend etc). The cage I'm using however is quite small and there's not enough room to use the normal manfrotto 577 quick release plate I'd use. Has anyone got any recommendations for a really low profile quick release? The cage I'm using is the proaim rapido cage ( http://www.proaimshop.com/pas/Proaim-RAPIDO-HD-SLR-Cage-with-Hard-Case.html ). As you can see there isn't much clearance there so I'd need something really low in height. Any suggestions or ideas? Many thanks in advance.

ooo good question...

hard to go much thinner than the 394 and still have faith in the thing, so that's probably a good bet

I recently bought a set of 6 Giottos MH652's low profile mounts for my GH3 camera, rigs, tripods, sliders, etc.... I thought they were the smallest, solid metal, great spring loaded pop in, pop out design, very fast setups. But for me once I put everything together, even "they" seemed too big for my setup. The arca swiss plates by novaflex http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/758117-REG/Novoflex_QPL_SLIM_39_QPL_Slim_39_Camera.html are probably the smallest, but you have to screw and unscrew a knob. I really like the Giottos better. I found a smaller MH630, but it can only be sold with the ball head that comes with it. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...H7002_630_MH7002_630_Ballhead_with_Quick.html The nice thing about these release adapters is they can easily be removed. So I figured buying a set of 6 of these gets me the bonus ball heads as well in case I ever need them. They really are small and strong! If you are shooting M43 cameras the MH630 is my recommendation. If you shoot bigger cameras like the Canon's the 652 may be better.
