Lowell Tota light, bulb installment, help

The sockets on this Tota light are so stiff Im afraid Im gonna break the bulb.

This is my first time installing anything like this, so can someone assure me that the bulb will not break when I press it into the tight spring sockets

The spring sockets shouldn't be that stiff. When you push the first side in and onto the springs it should be pretty easy. The hardest part should be at the end when you're trying to get the other side on it might give a little resistance but should just go in. If you are really worried I would put some gloves on and try to put the old bulb in to see if it breaks. If it does then you know something is wrong and you didn't
A. cut yourself because of the gloves and
B. waste a good bulb
 
Thanks guys. I finally got the bulb in. Bit of an effort though. The instructions mentioned that the springs would ne very tight initially.
