Lowel or Arri

I own a couple Lowel DP's already and use diffusion gels on them to make a soft light and barn doors to control the light. Now I'm looking to add a couple more lights to my setup. I could buy two Lowel DP's for the price of one Arri 650. Does it make that big of a difference in the quality of light if I'm just going to add diffusion to the front of the light?

It depends on what you are using them for. I would probably go with the arris to have a more diverse kit with more options if nothing else. I have a couple DPs and several Arri 650s and I use the Arris far more than the DPs.
