I work with 5 Glyph GT062E drives that hold approximately 8TB of data. They are daisy chained during my work process for access to multiple files off mulitiple drives. A lot of the data is already backed up on the Glyph drives, but it's starting to get a little cluttered. It's time for a little house cleaning before it's too late. Would it be better for me to just purchase FOUR 2TB USB 2.0 drives for basic backup and archiving rather than spending another $400-500 Glyph drive in the future? This way if I need another RAID drive for editing, I can reformat one of the ones I've already got, and low speed back up drives can just go on a shelf in case I need them in the future to load any lost data. This may sound like a dumb question I'm sure...I guess I'm just curious if this is common practice.
