Low cost stabilizer for the HVX

What wide angle adapter are you using?

What wide angle adapter are you using?

And does it work well without a w/a adapter?

btw: getting system for my hvx... better to go w/ the glidecam 2000 or 4000???

this will be for use w/ camera set up pretty standard (w/ mic). will get another sys. when i get my lens adapter & follow focus sys.

i'm simply looking for the lightest stabilizer for the hvx200 right now. shooting a documentary & need to small & light.

please suggest away. tia

from the first test/streamload it seems the camera may be rockin' back and forth slightly (up & down) when a real steady sys. does not do this @ all... fwiw: it still seems to be a nice cheap solution. i'm leaning toward the glidecam products though.

glidecam 2000 vs 4000

I have the same question. It seems like the 2000 would JUST BARELY hold the HVX w/ battery, and probably nothing else. Unless we are told otherwise I'd like to go with the 2000, not only because it is cheaper, but I'd like to be able to use the glidecam with both my HVX and the HV20 my brother is getting. I believe the camera has to weigh at least 4 lb to use with the 4000 (the 2000 simply says "up to 6 lb).

Any input would be a huge help.
thanks.

I'm considering buying the flycam (5000 in my case) as well, and had a couple of questions:

1) For those of you who have the flycam, if you had to do it all over again would you STILL buy the flycam? Or would you just spend the extra money and buy something else, like the Glidecam?

2) Does anyone have the low cage attachment for the flycam? If so, can you comment on it? Does it work well?

Thanks.
