low cost dutch head solution?

Re: low cost dutch head solution?

how much of a tilt?

the bogens with the half bowl (525mvb with 503 head) can accomplish a pretty decent tilt just by loosening the bowl adjustment and going as far sideways as it will go.

the new bogen hihat looks like by adjusting the legs you can get a serious dutch angle.

If you already have a tripod and normal head, You only have to add the top tilt head.

..you can also dutch your shot by not leveling the tripod. or if your not need easily accomlished ultra smooth and fluid panning or tilting but its on a dolly or a still shot or somthing, you can get a cheap "velbon" or "bescor" tripod with an adjustable angle mounting platform.. usually about 30.00.

what tripod do you already have?

the bogen bowl trick seems the best thing to me.

well i know a few people who just adjust the legs so they are a little off.

how much of a tilt are you going for??

you could build a plywood platform that is two pieces of plywood with some wedge cut 2x4 in between.
