hey all
i own a BMPCC and a NTG-2 microphone
which i connect directly to the camera.
the thing is i am getting really low volume (i am new to audio so excuse me if i am using the wrong terms )
i was thinking to get the TASCAM D-40 of ZOOM H4N, but after reading over the internet i understand that TASCAM or ZOOM not helping solving this problem with the NTG-2.
since NTG-2 i very sensitive microphone (or something like that

)
(i understand that the roland r-26 will give a good solution but is to expensive to me at the moment..
i am not a professional film maker i am making short films more as an hobby, so all i want is a decent audio. may be in the future when ill become better i will consider super audio)

recently i noticed the "iRig Pre" here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io-JR3aUqII
do u think its could be a good solution ?
or if u got some other ideas ?

thank you

This is a common issue. The NTG-2 microphone does not have a very high output to begin with. A JuicedLink or other external preamp (or mixer) may help though. Another factor to consider; how close the mic is to the sound source.. a camera mounted mic is about the worst possible location, no matter what mic one has. (other than for ambient sound)
