We've rented out our HVX200 with a FS100 and got a call from the folks using it letting us know that the Firestore is quite loud when the fan kicks into high gear. This poses a problem when shooting narrative with a camera-mounted drive. Anyone else experiencing this? Just need to know if this is a normal operating issue we have to deal with or whether we have an especially loud FS 100.

Out of 20 shoots with the FS100, it went and stayed in high gear fan mode once during an interview. The interview was in Arizona after a plane flight so that might of been the influence. I was using a lav from about 8 feet away in a conference and it didn't pick up any of the noise. If I was shooting with a onboard shotgun while the FS100 was attached to the camera, I would have been scrwd. Of course without the FS100 you'd be left with a laptop which leaves you with the same problem. Other then that one time and when you start it up, it's been surprisingly quite.
