lost tv show?

I can post some pics that will prove it is shot on 35mm...I shot some behind the scenes footage on the set back in November 2004. While out in Hawaii, I spoke to the DP of the show and he told me that the PILOT was shot with the DVX100 but the actual show is shot on 35mm.

The pilot of Lost was not shot with the dvx100, in the american cinematographer article, larry fong talks about the long telephoto panavision lenses he uses, and the film stock that he chose to shoot the pilot in.

The cost of shooting something like Lost is so huge, that using 35mm film is really not an issue. HD video systems are not quite yet there* and shooting film is a 100 year old routine, so using 35mm film is prudent, from that later HDTV DVD:s can be easily made.

*) if they were, all series like this would be shot with them, and films also... But they are not. In 10 years, yes.

To aside: - in reality the characters in Lost would have starved already... Finding something to eat out there is NOT EASY.

- Why, even on a deserted island the americans must have guns? A suitcase full of guns? Action film without guns, impossible?
