Lost Editor Default Layout - Help!

I feel stupid having to ask this, but I'm stumped. When I first installed Vegas 6 the framed box in the lower right-hand side of the editor used to show the audio mixer and video preview side-by-side in the same box. For some reason I don't understand, I can now only see one or the other in that box, and I have to select a tab at the bottom to do it. I tried fiddling around with the 'View' options but could not do it there. I even tried reloading the software, hoping to get back to the facotry default settings, but that also failed. Could someone please tell me what I am overlooking here?
Thanks

1. make them all show up (ex: tap A; tap B)
2. clink and drag the tap A to somewhere empty
3. resize tap B
4. move tap A right by tap B (do no move it on top or else they will join together again)

hope this helps

Nope! I have two tabs 'Video Preview' and 'Mixer' I can select one or the other, drag the tabs to different sides of each other, and I still get nowhere.
-frustrated-

pull it out of the tap, not switching, see pic for detail

Got It!!!! Thanks loads!!! When I saw that "Vegas Dock" I looked it up in the help index and, reading that info and looking at you screen capture, it suddenly became crystal clear.
