Lost audio after rendering-Strange freak problem in Premiere Pro 2

Hey guys, I’m in a little bit of agony at the moment, I have about 6 audio tracks in my project, I color corrected my footage and let it render for an hour, when it was finished the audio from two of the tracks went missing. The physical file is still their on the timeline, but theirs no sound for those tracks when playing it back, and when you zoom in to see the audio waves, theirs nothing, it’s just blank.

I can open the audio file from the project window and it plays fine, the file is still physically on my harddrive, it opens and plays just fine. But on the timeline it doesn’t produce sound, the soundwaves are gone with the file still sitting on the timeline.

If i re dump the file to the timeline, it produces sound, but that doesnt help since the same file that has already been edited into the scene and rendered is not producing sound and the soundwaves are missing.

Has anyone experienced this problem? I would go and re-edit but their was allot of intricate audio editing so it hurts to do it again.

Any ideas how to get it back.

Thanks allot in advance.

Ok I found the problem.

I went to the project window and simply relinked the file with the media on the harddrive and it recognized it on the timeline again. So I no longer had to re-cut.

Still don’t know why it happened in the first place though
