Losing Sync in Multicam edit

I am trying to edit a concert that was shot with four cameras. The concert was shot without any time-code generation or free-run timecode, therefore I am syncing the shots using in-points. I have been able to successfully sync all four video clips using camera flashes from the audience. The four cameras stay in sync for a while, but by the end of the hour long footage they are way off sync, by at least four frames. Its very noticeable.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is it possible that the cameras could have had dirty heads and recorded at slightly slower or faster speeds? Could something have happened to the footage on import?

Do any of the cameras match exactly? I'd guess it was a df vs ndf issue unless all the cameras were different. All DV cameras record timecode albeit not external. Dirty heads shouldn't affect the tape pitch. You may have lost some frames on capture as well which would cause problems with multiclip. Is FCP set to warn on dropped frames?
