I made the video 24p in 23.9 time line I rendered as wmv it dose look smoth but when I make DVD of that ,my DVD is looks jumpy .Any help ?

File size doesn't matter. It's all about framerate and/or fields.
If it's a 23.98 fps, you should be rendering to progressive. However, your DVD will become interlaced when you show it on anything but a progressive display. That can create problems.

Actually, I disagree with that -- a properly-encoded 24p DVD should not suffer any motion artifiacts when a DVD player adds pulldown for display on a standard TV. After all, every Hollywood DVD is encoded in 24p (the movie portion, anyway), and they all play fine.

Now, it could be that it's not encoded properly to begin with, but non-jumpy pure 24p should never become jumpy when pulldown is added.

"Jumpiness" or stutter most often comes from 60i footage being converted to 24p.

Poya, I think your problem probably comes from your render choice -- the WMV. DVD Architect will convert WMV to MPEG-2 for DVD, and both WMV and MPEG are "lossy" formats -- meaning a lot of data is discarded in compression. I would not be surprised that you're losing frames.

What you want to do is render out either in a DVD Architect-compliant MPEG-2, or in best-quality AVI -- and I recommend the MPEG.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you did. Could you be more clear?

exactly- i followed the white paper from Sony to the letter, and my DVD turned out great. Played very smooth on my plain jane interlaced TV and $100 dvd player.

Poya, have you read the Vagas white paper on creating 24p DVDs for DVX users?

I fix it

I fix it

When I a made the dvd first I choose 100% Disk space but second time I use 95% and looks good .
Thanks for replaying my Thread.

Nonetheless, I wouldn't render as WMV if you're going to make a DVD.

And is that the Phantom of the Paradise in your avatar?
