Looking to download a couple of ads. Anyone?

My web designer and I are working on a presentation to the local chamber of commerce about using media effectively to market a product or service. It's kind of going to be covering modern pop culture and it's effect on consumers.

We're getting the pollinate BDA sessions disc from Belief.com and will be incorporating pieces of that.

I'm looking to download (Not just view but be able to use in the presentation) a couple of commercials.

1. The new Bravia Ad from Sony with the superballs (You can view but not download it from their site).

2. An older car commercial that showed the dad getting ready for work while his 7-10 year old son is watching intently. As he walks out of the room you see the kids seat which is empty. He gets into his car ready to roar away, when he sees his son through the window ready to race him. He leans over the wheel and acts like he's screaming down a racetrack yet is only going 5 mph. The voice over says, "With 350 horsepower, the ________ allows you to go exactly as fast as you want to." I believe it might have been nissan.

3. Cell phone ad, with the guy in a small, depressing hotel room, too small of car, annoying airport and fussy airline attendant who tells him his flights been delayed. He sits down and looks over and there's his 6-8 year old daughter. They began to converse and his whole day is changed from crappy to great. A person walks by the camera and reveals that he's not actually talking to the daughter, he's talking on the cell phone. (Spooky). Anyway, cool concept.

4. The old (OLD) superbowl nissan ad where the seagulls are like fighter pilots trying to poop on the car, but it's too fast for them.

Anyway, thanks for any help you guys can give me.

I don't know whether you'd be allowed to download any of those, or if you're only allowed to watch, but... you should be able to find most of those on adcritic.com or ad-rag.com or similar sites. Adrag? Ad-rag? Don't remember, but there are some commercial archive sites out there. Try ifilm as well, they may have some of them.

It's almost always possible to save videos you've viewed.

For IE: Tools | Internet Options then go to Temporary Internet Files and press the Settings... button.

Then press the View Files... button.

The seventh column (usually) in that file list lets you sort by the last access date/time. It'll make it easier to find the file you just viewed. The video may not have the same name or the name you think it should, but it'll be the only .mov or .wmv or whatever for that time period.

Right-click the filename and select Copy, then paste the file somewhere else on your hard drive.

Ta-da. :)

Oh..if you use another browser...no idea how to do it, but it should be doable.

why cant you dload the bravia ad? i dloaded it the other day when it was posted...and i just tried now and it worked...let it dload all the way then click the arrow on the bottom right of the QT player and select "save as source"...should be easy...

another trick..as long as the webpage isnt flash...and if you use firefox...right click on the page and select "page info" then go to "media"...there you will find a list of all the jpegs/movies on that page...select one, then on bottom click "save as". this has worked great for me with embeded content.

Hey guys, been out of pocket working on a project the last week or so. Sorry I didn' t respond previously. I hadn't thought of stealing from my cache. Worked great . I also got the extension for firefox and tried that and it worked pretty good (Not always but a lot of the time). Anyway, thanks for the help. DVXuser is pretty fly by me!
