Looking to buy a REDROCK adaptor for DVX100b

Redrock adaptor

Hi Spanky

Are you sorted for a Redrock adaptor?

I bought one, and yesterday also ordered the follow-focus for it. I have not used mine yet for a shoot (arrived last week), because since I assembled it, I realised that it is not an appropriate piece of gear for what I do. I shoot corporates, which means I typically lug heaps of equipment around someone's office. The M2 adaptor is designed for filmmaking, which is not what I do.

I tested it with a Nikon 105mm close-up lens, and the quality on the DVX100B is absolutely astounding. I did some shots of my cat lying on the car hood, and you can see every whisker. Quite astounding - in fact, it actually looks sharper than when you use only the DVX lens!

I also tested some other lenses, briefly, but I think this 105 Nikon lens is the clear winner. Gives a wonderfully pleasing effect, DOF is knocked silly. It actually and really looks like film.

Anyway, I thought that before I put any miles on this one, I should rather send it to a more deserving home. I'd like to keep the rails and the microfocus, but I can sell you the M2 adaptor plus the achromatic lens that screws on to the front of the DVX for a good price.

Cheers from Cape Town, SA.

do some research, figure out what it is that you want. Each adapter has it's perks and finctuons, but some may not do what you want.

I personally own a M2 and I love the way it looks, but I've also used the LE and SGPro for different types of shoots depending on what I was going for.
