Hey all, I'm looking to buy a Redrock adapter. All I need is the adapter itself. I already have the rails, etc. Just need the adapter itself. Anyone know of anyone selling one?

Are you looking for the older m2 version? If you go to the redrock website store and click the outlet, you will see the older model and buy it cheap :)

they were doing 10% off at nab. maybe still going. mabe email them to find out.

i know someone selling an older m2 as well. i could pass along your info to him. PM me.

Thanks fellas. I actually reached out to someone who was selling the old M2 on craigslist for $700 (just the adapter & NO rails).

I think that's a pretty good deal, considering that I already have rails, mattebox, etc. What do you think?

Also, can anyone tell me whether there is a real big difference in the older M2 and the new M2 Encore? If anyone can help by sharing their knowledge and experiences, I'd truly appreciate it...

Thanks

Actually, not such a good deal considering you can buy the M2 brand new ($375) and the achromat ($300) from Redrock for a fully functional adapter.

From the reports the Encore is vastly superior to the M2 in term of sharpness and light loss. I haven't use it myself but the M2 is really a relatively outdated adapter. It's not very sharp, loses a lot of light and is finicky to set up and operate, I used it twice and both times it was a pain to work with.

i'll put it this way. i used the old m2 for a long time. now i use the encore.

the old m2 is just fine as long as you have a crapload of light and don't mind soft edges.

the improvements are incredible. pony up the dough for the new one if you can.
