I guys ,

I have really been looking hard for a mini XLR adapter that would have 3 or 4 xlr inputs and at least 1 XLR output. I filming a lot of conferences in universities and I am usually doing al the sound setup namely placing all the mics on the tables and hard wiring them to a (big) mixer and then feeding the DVX from that mixer.

The thing is that I want to do the same job but much lighter. Finding a really small mixer or xlr adapter that could be on my belt or velcroed to the camera. This is the closest thing I found : http://www.studio1productions.com/xlr-bp_3_pro.htm but it seems to be lacking a XLR output . It says it has a mini jack 1/8 output ....

Any help will be appreciated ...

As for small and easy to use I think what you found is going to be your best bet. The only other option I can think of is to use a small mixer, I believe that the smallest you can get is either 4 or 6 channels. Checkout your local audio/music store, they should be able to help you out.

I use a Rolls MX124 ProMix for conference room setups all the time. It's not the best on the market, but fits the bill for basic (and portable) 3 or 4 mic mixing. You can view it here.
