Looking for some examples of light intensity in lux

How do I know how much intensity in lux do I need? On every light there is a information about how much lux or lm has it, but I can't visualize what does it mean. I mean what intensity is for example 7000 lux or 900 lux etc. I can't imagine it. Is there some table with examples of light intensity values in lux?

Lux and Footcandles can be converted to measure the same thing, luminance intensity. one footcandle equals 10.76 lux. So a Mole 2,000 WATT 8" JUNIOR SOLARSPOT, on full spot at 20' gives off 1000 footcandles or 10760 lux.
