Looking for Plans

Hey all!

I have been looking for plans to make a rig for my GH1. I would like to make one similar to the redrock dslr bundle, or one of those "cage" systems. For some reason, finding plans for these is harder than finding the square root of pi (at least I am having some trouble). Does anyone know where I can find some plans?

ps. I do have access to a CNC machinist, so that will not be a problem.

I doubt you're really going to find plans for something like that. Most DIY plans for stuff like that, are usually designed to use off the self parts. If you have access to a machinest why don't you sketch out your ideas or show him some pics of the stype you want to put together and see what he can come up with?
 
I tried to show him the pictures, and tell him as much as I could, but he said that he needed exact measurements/dimentions, etc. to be able to build a rig that works.
 
You're probably going to have problems finding any detailed plans for machined rigs like that. Most DIY rigs are made with modified off the shelf components since most DIY'ers don't have access to mills and lathes.

I see, I will just have to look at existing cages, and try to find OEM that resembles it to mod it. Thanks a lot guys!

I'm looking for something like the redrock dslr kit or something that easom optics makes. Until I find plans, or have a machinist figure it out, I am going to try the indirailspro setup.
 
If the machinist is a friend, then rent or borrow the setup you want and he can replicate it, but I can almost guarantee it will cost almost as much to just buy it if he's working for standard rates.

Heaven forbid they might produce something useful or relevant in the real world??

Where are you going to school? Must be pretty cool having cnc machines . .
