Looking for opinions on website

There are too many options in the bar at the top. It's too busy for me to look through and determine what each of those means (are they links to information on web video, DVD/Blu Ray, etc, or are they links to SHOW me samples?). Clarity (which typically manifests as simplicity) needs to be first and foremost. If I go to your sight looking for something and get confused or turned around I'm leaving in a heartbeat. I really like your social networking link bar at the top - very helpful and foolproof when using. As for the "Latest News" section - will that be quick headlines from a blog? updates about your company? latest tweets? Depending on what is put there it could get very "busy" and distract from the main video. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, just really think through how it will look when there are multiple headlines there, what wording is used, etc, so you aren't competing with whatever you want your focal point to be on that main page. Last bit of advice I have regarding the opening video: you have a very awesome, very unique, high energy, and somewhat mysterious name for your production company. The video moves along at a relatively slow pace and you ask for the viewer's/visitor's help - both of which, in my mind, counteract the feelings that your name produces. I would LOVE to see a video on your homepage that is energetic and really grabs my attention by the balls (something like the Ford truck commercials comes to mind) - showcase what you guys do, sell me on your services and what you can offer me that NO ONE else can. Don't ask for my help, I'm not perusing production websites looking to help someone out, I'm looking because I need YOUR help in some way. Get my attention and you'll get my business.

Hope that wasn't too confusing or harsh, and most importantly, that it helps out a bit :)

cheers,
Adam

I'd have to agree... it looks pretty busy. A good website to follow would be like www.productionbooth.com
It's very simple and easy to use. If you have a lot of content, archive it in subpages rather than all in the top level.

I guess I should have elaborated on what is what the company is. It doesn't provide any services. It's basically an Indie Film Studio. I.E; FilmDistrict, Mangolia Pictures, IFC Films, Summit Entertainment (prior to getting bought by Lionsgate).

I got most of the links on the top of the page from the Lionsgate website - http://www.lionsgate.com/

My other source of inspiration for the site, is the Weinstein site. - http://weinsteinco.com/

If you scroll down on their site, you'll see their news section... mine will be similar (headlines that link to the full article).

Wow just found out my indiegogo campaign got coverage on the The Indie Filmmaker Daily
