Looking for Interview set idea's

Hi Folks,

Been a shooter for many, many years now and have shot many, many of your basic sit down interviews. Need to come up with a few new concepts over the next week or so and am just wondering if anyone has ever stumbled on a website out there that may showcase some stunning, unique, interesting, note-worthy interview set ups.

Don't really have the budget for huge prop purchases, so I'm working with just some basic stuff... walls, lights, gels, white and black backdrops... maybe a few homey things... shelves, lamps, bookcases, televisions.

Not looking to rip anyone off, just feel like I'm tapped out on idea's and it's all be done. Need to feed my brain a little.

:dankk2:

I have a Red Package which works well with virtual sets. I can shoot and then sample everything way way down to HD or whatever.

One that comes to mind that I've always liked... was MTV a few years back would have your standard interview and would cut away to a monitor of that same feed (camera) but setup where the profiled subject and set where visibly defocused as the background.

Or, if you did a different version of the above, based on say the coldplay "Rush of Blood to you Head" tour, where there was a screen behind the band that projected a webcam feed. You could instead do a B camera somewhere in the room.

Hope that helps.

I one shot an interview on a moving jeep. I was standing on the passenger side foot-rail facing the jeep while the interviewee was standing on the driver's side. It makes an interesting interview when you are both hanging onto a moving jeep for dear life.
