Thanks for the tip. That actually looks good in the sense that I can actually find some good reviews on the product. Might have to go for that one then.
Yeah, the selection is pretty limited. But that seems to be the best one from my tests. I haven't gotten my tablet yet, but I've tested a few of the apps on my Galaxy Nexus.
What tablet are you using for your teleprompter? Also, do you know how you'll be controlling it?
I'll list some options that I plan to try-- mini bluetooth keyboard, bluetooth mouse, and these two apps might be able to control the tablet by your Android phone:
Also, you could use a remote desktop app and bring up the screen of your laptop on it. Then use a teleprompter program on your laptop and control the speed and all from it, and the tablet will display it. That kind of software is meant to be used the OTHER way around, but it still works. Still, I'd rather have it all working from the tablet and not have to bring a laptop, too.
I'm trying to get an Android teleprompter setup going, so any info you can share, I'd appreciate it! Did you build a DIY shoot-through glass unit or buy one or anything?
I just wanted to update here that I have found a couple of apps that must be fairly new, within the past few months. They look to be MUCH better quality than what has been available in the past. I expect that the few missing features will be added pretty quickly. I think I'm going to try Remote Prompter with a small handheld bluetooth keyboard from Amazon.
Now I just need to find an adjustable mount to mount it on top of the camera. It's hard enough finding one like that for iPad, and the ones I've found seem to only fit iPads. If anyone has a suggestion, let me know!!
