As the title suggests looking for a tripod that will be sturdy enough to support a cinevate 26" slider with a 5dmk3 and eve pro on top? Advice on if i need to buy another head to fit on the slider would be mucho appreciated also.....

Not sure if you are looking for the ultimate in portability or not, but this thing is an absolute beast.

I use it for a 48" "Zazza" slider, and an 8' jib. It is the last such tripod you will have to buy for these purposes!
I payed about 1/2 of retail price by being patient on Fleabay, finding a used one in excellent condition.
one cool advantage is that you can be safe under it in an earthquake.

What head do you have now? I use Manfrotto 510 head and can be bought for a couple of hundred and for $350 - $400 with a good set of sticks. Read up on the 510 and you will be surprised at the quality for the second hand price. I use the 26" slider and it is still a lot of weight with a rigged camera at the end of it.
