Looking for advice how to handle this Situation. Company stealing Videos

So approximately 7 days ago I decided to go through theknot.com and see what kind of Videographers were out here. I noticed some beautiful work and Video from Memory Lane here in Las Vegas. Then I checked out other work as well, Then I noticed my company's video on someone else account. I was shocked! I found 3 of our videos under this company's name and I immediately emailed my colleagues at home. They emailed the company and in 2 days they took down our videos but I was still skeptical about other videos they had since others were shot in other countries as well. A company with that kind of Logo would not be Artistic enough to make elegant wedding videos.
I know that this is common but when it happened to me, it ruined my day :(

So here are a few videos that need to find its rightful owner

Thank you Dusty! I already screen recorded. I found the About page for this company and it looked like one of them was a BMX Videographer...The Main guy has no videos at all. The ones that look bad on their Vimeo account looks like theirs. It's just sad that they can just pick what video footage they want and put it on their site without consent.

Thank you to one of the owners that just emailed me and said that he wrote theknot.com that this company be removed immediately.

The third video looks like they just swapped it out. So we are progressing. Justice has been served.....well a little bit.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then this type of thievery should be considered worship!
In all seriousness I've heard of this from wedding and fashion photographers who say it's fairly common. I feel bad for any clients who might be fooled by what they see only to get a crappy end product from some no talent thieves.

A similar thing has happend a few times in the UK but it is usually companies copying web site design and content but a e-mail to show that their deception has been scanned is usually enough to have things changed.

A lot of the time it has been the web design companies fault and not the core company and I suppose it can haplen as material is frey posted and shared on the web.

These are what a couple Vendors have wrote to theknot and Weddingwire already.

"Hi Lindsay & Jami,

I am a featured vendor in Los Angeles and Orange County. It was
brought to my attention a company known as "Kustom Films" was stealing
other fellow videographers work. I would appreciate if 'the Knot' will
take serious action to remove and ban this company from the Knot
Network for stealing other peoples work. They our con artist trying to
take advantage of brides to book their services. You do not want this
to affect the image of your company. If "Kustom Films" continues to be
on the Knot network this year. I will seriously consider move my
business else where. Thank you for your time.

Truly,
XXXXXXXXXX

Hello,
It has come to my attention not only from a long time featured vendor but I also noticed from this forum that I belong to that I simply ignored till I got an email this morning. The link to the forum is here
http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthrea...handle-this-Situation-Company-stealing-Videos Looks like it was posted early this morning.
I am a Vendor from Las Vegas and am a paying one at that. I am really disappointed for this unethical behavior from a fellow vendor, especially from Las Vegas. They have removed from my observation a total of 7 of their videos that belonged to someone else, this should not be tolerated, especially from a major website like this. I am requesting the removal of this company or I will look else where to promote my services. I was going to let this go and let Karma set in but something told me to write this email. Thank you and please consider this request before you lose great vendors.

Thank you,

V/r,
XXXXXXX

To whom it may concern,
After concluding my own investigation with Kustom Films, I am boycotting this company and would like further action to remove them ASAP. This is a disgrace to our industry as well as the Videography community.

Making their account disappear isn't enough. They need to do what the bodega owners in NYC do to people who bounce checks...post them prominently to shame them into not doing it again and prevent others from doing the same.

lol, So I thought they had got rid of everything and I am awaiting another potential victim to respond.

So I was looking at the Reviews on weddingchannel.com and it seems someone had made a review for him. Pretty good stuff But their response was that they don't remember working with that Bride. Oh God!

So Guilty!

Similar thing has happened to me in Youtube. One of my videos on elephant attack was downloaded and reuplaoded in Youtube by another fellow. I got it taken down. http://youtu.be/KMjkx4nNA9g

Unfortunately, I came to know when that reuploaded video got some 65k hits and then complained to youtube. Since then I have started placing my logo.

It looks like they took off Joe Simon's name and Kevin Shahinian's name as well, Finally!
SO these guys are basically CON Artists
