Looking for a Specific Lens Reference Thing

OK, I'm desperate now.

I've been Googling things like "lens disassembled," "lens anatomy," "lens parts," but I cannot find what I'm looking for.

I want to be able to see the inside of a lens. I want to be able to see almost all the little parts and see how turning a focus ring moves the element(s) backward or forward; how a zoom ring moves lens elements in different lens setups - like lenses that don't telescope, lenses that telescope when the zoom ring is turned, one-touch (push/pull) lenses, etc.

I want to see how they work, even if its just a diagram. It's pertinent to something I'm working on, specifically the mechanics that transfers the radial motion of the focus/zoom rings into lateral motion on the lens elements.

No luck has befallen me in finding a good anatomical description of a lens. If anyone has any idea where I can find something like this, it would be very helpful.

Thank you.

I've already seen those three videos. They just show the process of making the glass elements. I'm more interested in the other parts - the rings, the barrel, etc.

I know the focus is two contra rotated helical threads. The focus ring is centered over the two threads, which move on opposite directions when the focus ring is turned. (I took a lens apart one time, and had to send it to the shop, because I couldn't get it back together right!)

I'm having a hard time visualizing that.

From what I've seen in the little images I've found, the lens barrel has an incision that is cut down some of the length of the barrel, but it is also curved. I assume that the focusing element is somehow held in place, and when the focus ring is turned, the element has to rotate, and that rotating motion is also turned into lateral motion down the barrel as the element has to follow the path of these curves.

You can see what I mean here in this image: At the top of the lens barrel, there is a swift curve cut into it.

Is that what you're talking about? My hang-up is that I don't know how the focus/zoom rings connect to the elements to transfer its rotating motion to the elements.
