Looking for a part

Anyone know where I can track down a part similar to the one in the picture below? I'm looking to make a set of spacers for my dolly track and this thing looks like a good solution.

I don't know...looks a lot like a part that's used for making custom cabinetry. But what is throwing me off is that the gap is an inch wide, which makes me think it's NOT used for custom cabinetry...Don't know. Just looking for something similar that I can use on 2 x 4's to stabilize my track for a 40" run.

Could be a DIY or a clamping wedge of some sort. Looks like MDF board, I probably wouldn't suggest MDF. Easy to cut, cheap, but soaks like a sponge and could definitely break if a little pressure is applied.
