looking for a ottawa mentor... i just wanna learn

hello, my names andrew, im new to ottawa and new to filming, im very intrested in learning, i was wondering if anyone has time to take on a mentor here in ottawa, i would love to learn some tricks of the trade, i mostly shoot live band stuff and interviews, but i want to learn to shoot full music videos and short films... i wanna try to learn as much as possible

any help would be amazing
 
yes i agree to that lairhair, but im looking for some more hands on training...
like how to set up a scene...
but i have learned alot from reading here allready.... i have started getting a live feed out of the board at concerts now, with some sucessfull attempts...
im kinda just intrested in tagging along to some music videos or short films just so i can get a feel for it
 
6thirteen, I know how you feel.

I'd be interested in tagging along if you ever find someone. There just doesn't seem to be anything in the Ottawa area though -- how I'd love to be wrong.

I'd be happy with just being a silent observer.
 
i dont think there are any bigger production companys in the area even to try to tag along with... thats whats hard
 
Well, I know 6thirteen and can vouch that he's a good guy. Andrew, why don't you and Denis meet up and collaborate on something? Experience is the best teacher and two minds are better than one...so long as you can both work together without butting heads.

thanks kegan, i actually just PM denis for that exact thing
hopefully we dont but heads lol but im pretty easy to work with... just waiting for a reply back
