Looking for a light stand flip mounting bracket for the Panasonic BT-LH1700

I saw a nice bracket for mounting an LCD monitor to a light stand, but lost track of it. It flipped over so the monitor could work with a 35mm converter. Anyone know of such an item?

Hey guys, thanks! that was it. I bought the porta brace, but am returning it. Because of the M2 flipped image I think I am better off using this and a hard case. I have been making my own hoods from corrugated plastic and Velcro.

Hi Neurodancer! I am looking at getting the Panny 1700 and the Portabrace. I think the VF Gadgets monitor mount should allow it to be flipped and still be mounted as it allows movement in both directions. I do not have the portabrace so I can be sure of this but having seen the Nebtek mount it looks like a rack mount like this will mean assembling the unit and disassembling it every time. I would think the VF Gadget mount could sit on the back of the monitor in the Portabrace, just mount it on the stand and away you go; and you still have a sun hood !!

Problem with Port Brace is you can't flip monitor within case. Also no access to mounting holes for plate, as well as no room in case for bracket. I also do not like the Cordova material touching the screen. I bought the Strom IM2500 case for $65. (like Pelican) This case fits like a glove for panny monitor.

I am making my own bracket. I found a $15. two piece bracket that I am adding a spring plunger lock and welding a spud pin onto the back. The female part of the bracket screws onto the monitor and only is 1/4" thick. The male part has the spud. It then goes into any gobo head. It will flip, and turn., and only cost about $35. This system will also work to replace the god awful brackets that come with Flolite's. I will post photo in a few days. This system

Modern Studio Equipment has released theirs for around $120. Solid, flips, modeled off of their CRT model. I can keep the Panny base on there if I accept a little tilting. Talk to your local film or expendibles shop and have them order you one. Attaches with a TVMP for baby or junior stands.

where did you find the Storm case for $65 is that in Euros!

yea we made the Porta brace flip upside down just fine. but I might have to cut 2 holes in the side for the Mounting Bracket....

I found it on Ebay. Looks like the guy had a few of them, but they are gone now. I see them for $108. at other dealers on Ebay.
