Looking for a high quality DVR for Motocross helmet cam recording.

I am looking for a Digital Video Recording device that is capable of high quality recordings. (At least MiniDV quality of 14 Gigs an hour)

That can handle heavy rattling and massive jolts. Preferably solid state, IE no moving parts, and is unobtrusive to the rider. (I can’t strap a HVX to a riders back.)

I currently am using a Hoyt HC-pro helmet cam and a trash Samsung DV camera.
I am getting decent quality, except when heads get knocked out of alignment during landings and jumps. I also have a MP4 DVR that does fine but the quality is too poor for production standards. I have also pondered the Idea of wireless video, but the range is limited and quality questionable.

I am looking for something like the FS-4 Pro Firestore, but that is durable and can handle massive shock. Anybody know if you can swap the Firestore drive when I kill it?

Does anyone know of a solid state DVR that has a decent quality?

Toyota Arenacross is coming to town and I must get some onboard footage!

Sorry so many questions, I am getting desperate.

Keep up the good work guys,

Looks promising from the PDF, but I can not find anyone that sells it.

I will try to call Fast Forward Video in the morning to see who distributes it for them.

It is definitely not very popular. Google does not turn up much for this product.

I am doing some research on this product now to see if it is up to snuff.

Any other similar product suggestions welcome.

Thanks for the fast response. You just may have saved my butt.

The Chasecam records to mpeg2 while the miniDVR records to variable rate M-Jpeg in 4:2:2. Did they respond when you called them ?
