looking for a certain sound effect

yes, that's the only breathing sound I hear in those 2 sections.. can you help me or anyone help me where to find that sound effect? I need it for a movie i'm working on.

I have that exact effect. Its from a collection called sound designers toolkit ($500) by hollywpod edge. I believe that effect is called "fast demon breath".

thanks, but hey I can't spend $500 on this. I just bought the highest mac book for $1500! Can anyone send it to me or tell me a place to find it.

Unfortunately I think it is copyrighted.

There are really cool free sounds available online.

Use the search function on this forum and you will come across many to choose from.

Hope your movie turns out great!

A stinger is a short sound effect (usually just a couple of seconds long), usually used for sound design (meaning not an organic sound, but a quick sound hit). Imagine the quick sound effects you hear coming in or out of commercial on radio stations - those are stingers.

well I found a similar sound effect. Not the same one as the demon breathing sound but a very similar one and movie looked great when imported it.

If you have access to a mic with plenty of high-frequency detail and a 96kHz recorder, you can easily record this sort of thing yourself. Simply record yourself breathing or otherwise vocalising right up in the mic. Drop the playback rate down to 48 kHz, and maybe throw in some chorus effects or "preverb". If you happen to be working in Protools, remember that mono 96kHz WAV files can be "added" directly into a 48kHz session from the import screen without converting the sample rate.

Of course, you could just record it at 48kHz and pitch it down 12 semitones, but over-sampling the recording at 96kHz has the advantage of giving you a much more natural sound. A few years ago, I was building up a "dragon vocalization" pallette for an animated show, and after half an hour hissing/snorting/wailing/belching into a Neumann TLM 170 I had enough material to last the entire season.

Just remember to keep everything short and energetic, since it will be eventually playing back at half speed.

If you go to Sound Dogs you should be able to buy just that track at a reasonable price.
Sounds are just like music in terms of copyright. When you buy the collection you are just buying a license to use the sound, you don't own it.

Or you can just design your own. Nothing is more annoying than hearing the same sounds from libraries all over the place.
