Lookin' for a Short Script to Shoot

I would totally write my own, but I'm in the habit of writin' stuff that's way out of my budget. So, lookin' for a low-budget short to shoot.

Somethin' with a little marketability for the most part. Horror's okay, Sci-Fi (Primer style or Matrix style welcomed) favored.

PM me or email me and tell me what you've got and we'll talk it up. Trying to get something to shoot asap.

I would prefer something Sci-Fi along the lines of Primer. I'm a huge Sci-Fi person. I wouldn't mind straight Drama, Horror or Action.

=P I'mma snoop around your website, Chris.

my two cents:

sci-fi tends to equal big budget.

stick to drama or horror if you're working with little to no $.

I second LF's comments. If you have doubts, read "Oh, the Horror" in MovieMaking magazine (issue 72, volume 14, pg 88). Kholi, I suggest you study lots of your colleagues short story Sci-Fi's, learn from their comments/commentaries, strengths/weaknesses, etc, then go for the script that meets your needs. I'd guess something like Android is far above your budget but you could do one of the shorts from Robot Stories. Still, for less than $10K and a tight budget, you might be able to do a thriller like Broken.

Check out the Sci-Fi film festivals here, here, here, and more.

Better yet, go through all the entries here at dvxuser's prior Sci-Fi competitiion. Watch them all, read everyone's comments, learn why a selected videos were judged best in class. Then consider sending PMs to others, soliciting advise and possible collaboration.

While you could post solicitations on a scriptwriting forum website, I'd guess many would have effects and sets that would be outside the scope of your budget. How much do you plan to spend?

Regards, Michael

I appreciate the advice... I know what I'm getting myself into shooting Sci-Fi. Please see: Primer. That is the kind of Sci-Fi I requested...

I just want a script... if you have one PM me, if you don't thanks as well.
