Long View Finder?

Just wondering if you could install one of those long view finders you sometimes see on a Betacam or better yet a film camera. There are times when I got the camera on the DVrig and could use that extra long VF. I know I can adjust the rig to bring the camera closer to my eye but just wondering if it was possible. I remember seeing one on a XL-1 a while back.

i dnt think the same thing is available for the dvx, as the viewfinder is not removable. However, if its real important to you i suppose you could buy the century optics 16:9 viewfinder(i have it). itll only work w/ an ana adapter or squeeze mode, but it will add mayb 2 inches to ur viewfinder.

ya its hard to find on the website. You have to do a special search for it. I got it at B&H. High quality stuff, but a bit heavy, but I guess thats so its durable.
