Hello everyone, been checking out this forum for a while but finally decided to step out from the shadows and say HI! I recently bought a lot of 3 AG-DVC30 cameras and am learning them.I have a few issues and hope to find answers to those questions, and to meet some totally awesome people on the creepy Internet. Anyways not sure really what more to disclose to a group of strangers so I'll cut it short by saying your cool and hope to hear from you.

Peace.

Start by telling us what your issue is. I owned a DVC30 for 5 years, I can definitely answer some questions.

Welcome. I used some AG-DVC60 cameras for years (shoulder mount version of the DVC30 + XLR) and in fact still have one that is like new condition so maybe I can help as well.

Thanks, I think they need to be put in a different thread but not sure.

The first issue is with the AG-MYA30G XLR adapter. I get a constant hum as soon as the device is connected to any of my cameras. It is not white noise/static but a hum and is around 100Hz. I can apply a block filter to remove it but it's taking out too much other sound and am hoping to have it alleviated or lessened. From what I've read in this forum is that the device is almost noise free, at this point it isn't for me and so am wondering if there is a camera setting or if I could get this piece serviced, since another one is around $250.00 or more.

Second, I am having difficulty green screening and not sure if that is also normal for this camera. What I've read is that DV cameras have a difficult time being used in green screening but I think this one camera may have a mis-aligned CCD since it gives me a strange halo around one side of the subject that the keying software wont touch.

If it would be beneficial I can post a video of either problem. Hope I can find some answers. :)

The adapter issue sounds like an electrical problem. It will need to get serviced. The "halo" might be a cause of your keying software, or a video issue. Can you post some screen grabs?

I'll try to have a screen grab up by tomorrow.

Where can I have the part serviced? Can I ship it somewhere? Is there someone on this forum that can do that?
