Lonesome Jim

I caught Lonesome Jim on Netflix yesterday and I was really impressed that it was filmed with a DVX100a. I couldn't really tell it wasn't made on film.

For those of you who have seen it, did you think that the cinematography was good or bad?

I have no problem with the cinematography in Lonesome Jim.
You might check out Wim Wenders "Land of plenty"with Michelle Williams. Another dvx100 feature.

I am going to check that one out soon. Seeing these DVX feature films along with films on this site gives me hope that a good film can be made on prosumers as long as you have good people in front of and behind the camera.

You should check out "Tape", Rick Linklater and his dp did a great job with a very cheap camera (vx1000 ?, can't remember) a dozen years ago. They would have loved to have had a dvx quality camera at the time. "Waking Life" was shot with cameras that cost around 1500 bucks at the time (they did animate over the footage). 100's of examples in the last dozen years of pretty decent films made with consumer/prosumer equipment. In the last five years no one really cares what you shot on, just "is this a good film".
