Hello everyone!
I am a student who made his own feature over the past two years and I'm planning to send it to festivals soon. Now all this time I was under the impression that logos in my movie were fine, as long as I wasnt planning to sell it. There is a pabst blue ribbon logo that shows up a few times, apple computers that come up a lot, and some clothing brand I can't recognize. I realized that while I don't plan to profit off the movie, festivals will want to ticket the showing. Is this a problem? I was hoping to use festivals to gain some recognition and network and such, not to sell and distribute. Will festivals accept my movie without these logos cleared? I made the movie with no budget and cannot afford to pay royalties. Thank you for being patient with me, I'm new to the process.
