Logo

No? that suprises me, i have heard it from someone else too, but... to me, its very clear (well, i have made it myself, thats why).

But now you know, do you see it? do you think it can be used for a video company? (almost all major studios uses logo's without camera's etc... and a stair is for "moving up")

Oh its definitely there for me - but at first glance I dont see a man climbing up a ladder. If it were me, I'd stick with it. The logo looks cool either way. I like the moving up too. Maybe a man on stairs would be better than a ladder? I dunno. If you like it then I say leave it.

Perhaps if you saw a few rungs of the ladder, sort of a 3/4 view it may help, but at first glance, I did not see a man on a ladder.

I definately didnt see a man on a ladder. my best guess was a homeless guy leaning against a pole...without shins

looks kinda like "Glory Hole productions" to me. the ladder is the problem, i think. doesn't look like one.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

I will use this logo as a concept logo, and i will, as soon as i have time, look if i can make a better logo. I am not so good in drawing etc... In fact, this is a REAL person on a REAL ladden in front of a greenscreen!! :)

So, iam not sure how to handle this, but thanks for the input. The general opinion is (correct me if i am wrong) "The idea is good, the logo looks nice, BUT: it needs more work to look like a man on a ladder". Is this right?

I'm not a big fan of the idea. Considering how much explaining you've had to do over the meaning of the logo I don't think it's working. Even if you turned the image to reveal the ladder I'm still unclear on what the logo communicates. A telephone company? A power company? A tree trimming service? Also, is the man at the bottom of the ladder? Do I want to hire a company that's at bottom of the ladder?

That said, if the company name is ladder films or something similar there's at least some connectivity going on. Either way you'll need some type to prop up the concept.

To really test your logo concept don't explain what it's supposed to be. Just put it out there and find out how well it communicates on its own.

just a suggestion, but you may want to try the art department at a local college. I know when I was a student, the graphic design majors were always wanting projects like that to enhance their skills and make a little extra cash. I think for my first company I paid 80 bucks for my logo, and if I had not changed the name I would still be using it today.

Thats real easy for me... consider iam a student on a school with designers! :)
(not a real one my self... iam from Audiovisual media).
